It is club policy that you are an active member of the club for at least six months before asking to be wheel certified. The wheel instruction volunteers need to see that you are dedicated to learning before committing their time and energy.
Every pottery develops their own wheel throwing style, which you can see in these videos. There is no “right way”. Spend a little time to watch how to center and pull. It is easy to spot the differences, but also look for the similarities. Please view a few of these before your certification session.
